Hey everyone!

YoumaCon 2009 is officially over...has been now for about 2 weeks. I'm really sad, I liked this year and I didn't want it to end. I cosplayed Tsunade this year, but next year, my plans are Madame Red from Kuroshitsuji (Cosplaying her normal attire during the day...then cosplaying her party attire for the Charity/Masquerade ball) and also Saber from Fate/Stay Night. This is the plan...now all I need is to make the money...which is a lot...lol But I will try my hardest.

So this weekend, my choir was supposed to have a concert when our director canceled it. I was happy since I was then able to go to my friends Surprise Birthday Party. It was a fun day. We took her Ice Skating (which I haven't done since grade school) and then we went to Outback for dinner. Something interesting happened there that has never happened to me before. My friends were ordering their drinks and I asked the waiter how much the cost, since I didn't want to go over and not have enough for the tip. He told me they were very good and after he went around and got everyone elses orders, he came back to me and said, "We'll work something out...what is your favorite flavor?" so I told me and he went about his business. I was prepared to pay for it cause it eventually did work into my schedule but when the bill came, it was not on it. I showed my friend and she laugh, then winked her eye, replying "He bought you a drink, oooo." -^__^- That was really cool and very nice.

Moving on...today at work, everything was...very interesting. I'm a lifeguard at my college and while I was on Island (The current channel/lazy river thing), a lady got up on the diving board with her kid. This is the same lady I remember talking to a year ago about this. I said, "Ma'am, you can't be up there...Ma'am....Ma'am! Ma'am, you can not be up there..." She ignored me...then after about a very more tries, she mouthed off to me. So, keeping my cool (I was being nice with her too...I wasn't screaming or yelling at her...I was just doing my job. It is one of the rules we have at our pool), I turned around and looked at my fellow lifeguard, who was sitting at the bottom of the slide to go get our Head Guard out of the office and come talk to the lady. Apparently, the mother was saying that this was stupid and that she has been a teacher (For swimming) for twenty years and she knows what she is doing. The Head Guard told her that it didn't matter, it was our rule and she had to follow it. Then, the lady said that I always find something to bitch at her for! Even though I have only talked to her about the same damn thing! >_< I was being nice, if I had really wanted to, I could have bitched right back but I know better than that.

Then, after that incident, the lifeguard who was sitting on the bottom of slide, also ran into a dilemma. We have about 5 Head guards...I believe, and one of them, not the one from my story above, but a different one, comes over to her and asked if she thought the lady in the hot tub was pregnant. She said yeah. So, instead of the Head Guard taking control, she had to. So, she went over and explained that our rules and the manufacturers rules state that pregnant women are not to be allowed in the hot tub unless they have consent from there doctor because the water is really hot and could hurt the baby plus it has made women go into labor before they are actually due. The lady began to ramble on about how it wasn't the heat, but the blood pressure or something, but eventually got out. She then went and "Pouted" (If you want to call it that) and then freaked on the lifeguard because a child dipped her hand in the hot tube for a mere second on their way past. Apparently, the women was saying that we favored the children over the adults and that we let them in the hot tub...no, we don't. You have to be 14 or older to be in the hot tube. So, everything seemed back to normal. Unfortunately...it was not. About 20 minutes later, the women got back in, even after she was told not to. At this point, the lifeguard was so ticked off that she had to go sit in the guard office to cool off (so that she didn't do anything she'd regret). (Our supervisor was the only person at the front desk, so she was unable to come back and assist, which can happen at anytime and it just means that we have to deal with the situation as best as possible until the issue is resolved or help comes).

Today was just so frustrating! >_< I do love my job though, but some people bug the shit out of me! lol (But this is what makes work exciting and stuff similar to this happens all over and in different work environments. I will definitely take this as a life's lesson) lol So yeah, now I am really tired and I'm going to go to bed now.
